The colorful monumental event featured times of heartfelt prayers as the brethren prepared their hearts for a message that will shape the New Year.

The global congregation lifted a united voice with LMAM artistes, Sinach, Eben, Ada and others to worship the Lord for a glorious Year of Spreading and a remarkable 2017 ahead. Through an inspiring talk show and a special video highlight of the year, brethren were immersed in praise-worthy exploits that proceeded from the word of the Spirit exactly a year ago.

The BLW President was welcomed to the New Year's Eve Service with rapturous applause at the LoveWorld Convocation Arena and centers around the world. Upon mounting the stage, Pastor Chris began singing songs of gratitude to God for His wonders in the Year of Spreading and for His thoughts concerning us for the year 2017. The man of God sang in the spirit and in his understanding, ministering guidance and direction was to everyone in attendance.

BLW President honors Karen Musodza from South Africa on a global stage as FALA Star Winner! 10 winners of the Future Africa Leaders' Award were announced from a list of 28 nominees from 18 African nations. The young people recognized with this prestigious honor are those who have distinguished themselves in service to their nations and communities. Young Karen Musodza from South Africa was further honored among the winners as the FALA Star Winner 2016 for her outstanding efforts, reaching thousands of youths in her world. As a FALA Ambassador, Karen will also be afforded resources to help expand her work and establish her impact in her nation.

The BLW President, Rev. (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, transported thousands around the world into the New Year, in spite of diverse time zones, with a prophetic welcome to 2017. Boisterous excitement filled the LoveWorld Convocation Arena and auditoria around the world as the brethren exchanged 'Happy New Year' greetings, speaking in tongues and thanking God for the year. It was particularly noteworthy that the man of God emphasized to the brethren the spiritual blessing that comes with his release of the words, "Happy new year!"

The BLW President Prophetically Declares 2017 'the Year of Flourishing'!

The BLW President, Rev. (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, announced the prophetic word for the New Year 2017, saying that it is 'the Year of Flourishing'! Before making this profound declaration, Pastor Chris read the entire Psalm 92, focusing particularly on the verses that read, "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing..." With the preceding scripture, we were launched into what the man of God described as a year of luxuriant growth, significant attainment and persistent productivity.
