International Easter Youth Camp delegates recognized for a year of tremendous GYLF growth, at celebratory dinner

The International Easter Youth Camp began memorably for the youths, who enjoyed activities starting with morning devotion, a special orientation class and an outing to the Sandton City Mall in South Africa.

The evening was a grand celebration with the Global Youth Leaders’ Forum (GYLF) Awards Dinner. Delegates spent time praying for nations, worshipping and enjoying presentations in spoken word and music from their peers. First timers at the camp also shared their expectations, while returning delegates testified of the impact of past editions. There were praise reports from some GYLF regions and a joyful recognition of GYLF leaders who distinguished themselves in the past year 2017.

To crown the evening was a life-transforming exposé by the highly esteemed CEC Member and Director of BLW Church Ministry/Organization, Reverend Tom Amenkhienan. He welcomed the delegates warmly and exhorted them on how to receive from God throughout the camp.

Using very vivid and inspiring testimonies, Reverend Tom admonished delegates on how to influence their worlds for Jesus. He laid the foundation for a life of influence with a few vital points: know the person of Jesus; understand what Christianity is; understand who a Christian is. He reminded them of the sublime role of the Christian youth as the light of the world and a life-giving spirit. In his closing words, he charged them saying: “Let the Christ-life reflect in and from you. Your goal should be to think, talk and act like Jesus. We will change the world and you are the one to change the world.”

The dinner ended with prayers of thanksgiving for all that had been imparted to the youths. The delegates departed to meditate on all they had learned and with eagerness to prepare for much more in the days ahead.

“One miracle is enough proof of the resurrection of Jesus,” Pastor Chris assured youths from around the world.

The IEYC delegates had an exciting Monday evening session at the camp with prayers, worship, praise and get-acquainted moments- the first in the line-up of meetings with the man of God, Pastor Chris. They were blessed by special music and dance presentations and thought-provoking talk shows featuring heartfelt expectations and experiences of first-time and returning campers.

They watched intently, the awe-inspiring biography of the man of God, Pastor Chris which further deepened their desire for a glorious walk in Christ in fulfillment of their destinies. The esteemed Campus Ministry Director, Pastor Chike Ume also ministered to the youths, stirring them up to live with purpose and passion. The delegation also got a chance to hear from representatives of the Global Youth Leaders' Forum from Nigeria, India and Venezuela on how to start proffering solutions to societal issues.

Then came the exciting moment when the Director of the Global Youth Leaders’ Forum, Pastor Deola Phillips, mounted the podium, greeted the delegates heartily and exhorted them to be open to receive all that God had for them, knowing that God desired them to be influential in their world. “This camp is a camp of youth leaders, those who will go back and make a difference in their world,” she said. She led the attendees in a time of prayer which ushered in the much-awaited moment.

With so much excitement and joy, Pastor Chris was warmly received by the youths. Responding to the profound experiences shared by some delegates concerning the miracles they witnessed at the 1st Healing Service of the Autumn Session, he expounded on sublime truths about the ministry of the Holy Spirit, sharing that "one miracle is enough proof of the resurrection of Jesus. The Father that did the works in Jesus was the Holy Spirit; if we will take the Holy Spirit as Jesus did, we will do the works of Jesus.”

International Easter Youth Camp delegates launched into increased grace in a powerful impartation session.

Delegates at the International Easter Youth Camp left the final session with the man of God, Pastor Chris, consumed with inspiration from all that they had learned and received, along with the greatest of all: a unique impartation of the Spirit that characterized the final meeting.

The anticipation was evident in the time of prayers, display of music and arts, country presentations, testimonies of their experiences and the impact that would follow. Azlan from Uzbekistan, full of the Spirit, declared boldly: "My friends and I were determined to win five thousand souls after the 2017 Easter Youth Camp, and we exceeded it. After this program, we will win souls in the hundreds of thousands for Jesus."

As in previous sessions, the man of God lovingly answered questions, leading the campers through an extraordinary exposé on what Jesus came to do, who the Christian is and the unparalleled role of the Christian youth in the discrete use of media platforms for the furtherance of the gospel around the world in these last days.

Shouts of joy and celebration rent the air as the Word grew mightily during the meeting, culminating in the moment everyone had been waiting for. Pastor Chris began ministering the power of the Spirit in the healing of the sick, the infilling of Spirit, the distribution of special abilities and the impartation of increased grace for the unprecedented harvest of souls in the GYLF. There was a flood of the Spirit, lifting attendees to greater levels of ministry and opening doors of nations for the rapid spread of the gospel, as Pastor Chris led an intercessory prayer segment for nations represented.

In his closing remarks, the BLW President thanked the Director of the GYLF, Pastor Deola Phillips, and all the officials for their work in the successful organization of such an impactful program. A new season had come; the youth left the camp singing new songs of their love for the Master, Jesus, energized with fierce convictions to win their world and poised to come back for the next edition of the International Easter Youth Camp with many more youths won to the Lord.
